Welcome to Aylesbury Area Disabled Club
A.A.D.C. (founded in 1961) is a sports and social club for people with any physical disability.
Each Wednesday evening we meet at Stoke Mandeville Stadium pool for swimming from 7.30 – 8.30pm.
On the first Thursday each month we meet in the Park Room at Stoke Mandeville Community Centre, Eskdale Road, Stoke Mandeville from 7.30pm for a social evening. Different activities are organised each month including quizzes, board games, boccia, indoor mini-crossbow and hoy. Low cost refreshments are available and we hold a raffle which is drawn at the end of the evening.
During the summer months, dry sports practice takes place and we visit other clubs around the country to compete in sporting activities.
In June each year we hold our own national Games with up to 100 competitors from similar clubs.
From time to time we enjoy coach outings to the coast or other places of interest. There is also a summer BBQ or picnic in August (weather permitting).
Membership prices are £12 per year single; £20 per year joint (husband/wife; brother/sister etc). Family membership is also available from £30. There is a small additional charge of £2 per person for each swimming session.
